Developed a Python model to predict heat exchanger effectiveness for a silicon-carbide heat exchanger
Background
Saint-Gobain’s HeatCor project focuses on developing a silicon carbide heat exchanger to improve energy efficiency in industrial heating systems. The HeatCor recuperator features a twisted-channel design that enhances heat transfer, enabling burner systems to achieve efficiencies exceeding 80%.
My Role
Developed a Python model to predict HeatCor effectiveness and energy savings for different geometries and operating conditions
Built a user-friendly Streamlit front end so engineers could interact with the model without coding
Learnings
How to work within a team environment and request important information about a project
How do both frontend and backend coding using Github
